I think your denigration of UC Davis and agricultural studies in a college setting speaks more to your own limited knowledge than any reality. Agricultural products have long been the most valuable export produced by the United States and for California where UC Davis is located. When working for Chevron I called on the expertise of several UC Davis professors to head off a major investment by Chevron in almond production which would have proven to be financially disastrous. UC Davis, founded in 1922, will continue to mature and expand just as UC Berkeley, which was founded in 1860, has done over time. .
