Yes, Saddam killed all kinds of people. But most of the mass graves were war related or else his mostly male political prisoners. The Kurdish grave could have been an entire vilage he had wiped out after the men left to try and resist him.

I'm not apologizing for Saddam. He was evil. But remember, Reagan supported Saddam at the time he carried out the majority of these massacres. Why? Because Iran was the bigger enemy, Iraq was doing big business with Texas and US arms manufacturers and nobody cared about the Kurds.

Thereroe it's ingenuous for conservatives to now be weeping over the mass graves. Besides, that was not the reason Bush gave us for invading Iraq.
