Pat Robertson said the world would end in 1982.
Jim Bakker said it would end shortly after Y2K.
Both used it to raise money by scaring people senseless.
The list goes on and on.
Smart ones don't use dates though because obviously nobody has been right since day one despite millions of such predictions.

right now they are saying that the war in Iraq is the "fall of Babylon" which will precede Armageddon in Israel. But none of it makes sense because their theory requires an Anti-christ. The Soviet Union used to be the Anti-christ, but now who is? The Anti-christ must be posing as a righteous man and have the power to destroy the world. Only one man fits that description. GW Bush. gg
