Evangelical these days means far rightwing, dishonest, anti-law, anti-constitution, hypocritically prudish, bigoted and repressive, attempts to hijack Jesus and God as their own, claims God speaks through them only, twists and turns christ's message into something akin to a hate group's.

And yes taking the Bible literally, although constantly misinterpreting the Bible, inventing lies out of nothing, whenever it suits their fancy. Also accusing any critics or problems of being "the devil" and telling us the world is about to end.

Meanwhile they fleece 2 billion a year mainly from ignorant, duped followers. A huge religious cult. And some who've told their flocks the world's going to end next year have bought long-term T-bills.
