Where do you draw a line about quashing a subpoena in regards to alleged criminal activity? The relevance is criminal activity can and does happen in many forms. I used sexual abuse of your first born and the first amendment to get your attention, instead of using market manipulation and the first amendment. What do you think of people who subpoena others, but have subpoenas they themselves have been served quashed? It reminds of a catch 22, no doubt you'd want criminal activity perpetrated against your first born discovered, but I doubt you'd be concerned with discovery of market manipulation.
