In 1972, Israeli SF specialized in Reconnaissance Operations
similar to USSF SOG. They were both very good. They even trained together sometimes.

Recon teams are not rescue specialists. The best Recon Teams do their work without ever being seen or discovered. They locate enemy positions. They do not engage the enemy except when they screw up and are discovered and then it is only to break contact and effect their own rescue.

The Germans had no need for Israeli or any other Recon Teams at Olympic Village or Fursty. They already knew where the enemy was.

Want to drop this and go back to discussing old sniper rifles? I believe that was your area of combat expertise last month.
