China is rapidly expanding its global influence and prestige, while the reputation of the US is increasingly tarnished and our influence is rapidly waning. That is the result of our policy of political isolation -- but I suppose as long as it keeps the yokels happy, the ones that Bush calls his base, then it does not matter what harm it does to the United States of America.
