A while back, Bob had a caller on that asked about a stock splitting, and he wanted to know if he would get the split if he had bought after the cutoff date for holders to receive the split. Remember that? As I recall, the essence of the answer was that he would receive the split if he bought before... or after. It didn't make any difference. Am I correct in my recall? I seem to remember the answer but I can't explain why that is true. Could one of you fine people clarify this for me? Would surely appreciate it......
