I said that I loved where I lived, meaning my little socially liberal, non-racist, tolerant of gay people, generally progressive little haven somewhere in a blue state. I specifically stated that I could not tolerate most of America, and might be happier overall in Europe, and that I found other parts of America where I had visited totally unacceptable for me because of the issues I mentioned.

Is there something you don't understand about that?
