That's one way to do it. I don't expect QQQQ to get very far above $36 before getting turned back as it encounters increasingly powerful resistance.

It depends on how closely you can watch things. From here, volatilities will become more biased to the upside. So short positions become increasingly risky. It may be better to sell the long and just go to cash until we see evidence of QQQQ finding support and reversing (on a short-term basis). I think there will be quite a bit of this over the next several weeks, before we get to the intersection.

But as you know, how you play QQQQ partly depends on what your vehicle is----mutual funds, the underlying equity, or options---and how closely you are prepared to watch things and respond. One size doesn't fit all.
