I like the old breeds, nurtured before humans started "dicking up the animal world" for no good reason but vanity. I like mutts. I've never owned a purebread dog. The best dog I ever had was 1/2 Golden, 1/4 Collie and 1/4 Husky. Smart as a whip, obedient as hell, loyal, and a great friend. My current dog is mostly lab with something else. Now that she's a teenager (in people years) she's quite mellow.
