Have you seen that dog ball that you fill with treats and make a recording of your voice? The dog rolls the ball all around and every so often a treat drops out. You can egg him on by recording your voice in it. Our dog loves hers. When our dogs were younger, we'd crate them when we were at work. My wife had these dog toys called Kongs, which were weird shaped rubber toys that you could probably confuse with a sex toy. She'd stuff them with various treats, and the dogs would spend the day working on them to get the treats out. Kept them occupied and happy. A picture of a dog Kong: images.google.com
