Florida living... bugs... heat.. etc

Take a look at the old Florida homes, those built in the early 1900's. Not many (if any) left in south Floida but still a few around in North Florida.

Termites - None, They used heart pine that just gets harder and harder with age. I've had nails bend in this stuff.

Mold - None, those homes were more open and airy.

I recently saw a builder leave a small apartment complex that had been wood clad but was left without wrap for several weeks in the rain and weather... Going to be a BIG mold problem there in the future....

Look to those older designs for improvements in living comfort..

good luck
