Mike,

I have also thrown out Bellamy Road. He will be 7-5, at best.
The Derby is not the time to bet short priced horses. I
think Spanish Chestnut, Going Wild, High Fly, High Limit,
and maybe Coin Silver to throw a pace that Bellamy may
not find to his liking. I can see them taking turns coming at
him.

I think we have the usual scenario of looking for horses
to come on strong at the end. Right now I've got Greater
Good, Afleet Alex, and Don't Get Mad as my closers. I would
like to kick out one of those, and mix the remaining
two with two that might carry their speed after the early
ones have been cooked. At this time, my choices in that
department are High Limit, High Fly and Bandini.

I caught Monarchos in a huge Exacta a couple of years
ago doing just this. I will make a few exotic bets, make
some juleps, and enjoy the race.

There is also a very good undercard on Saturday. Some
good prices usually occur with many of the bettors taking
the chalk as they worry more about their hats.<<GG>>

Good luck to all the punters on this thread.

Best wishes,

Bob
