Steve and Ted, Clinton is hardly faultless when it comes to North Korea. Having a lack of a policy (other than the status quo) when Carter went isn't an excuse. At the time Carter interceded, Clinton was getting ready to take a much stronger position with NK. Carter's intervention prevented that move. Carter had no right interceding unbidden onto the turf of another president. Besides, I don't think he was best equipped to deal with the problem. In fact, his behavior was outrageous. Clinton was very kind by not jumping all over him. ted
