Omigosh! 05.05.05 Thanks for pointing that out Jon. The perfect symmetry is nice, though not super unusual in that every year we get another of those. 03/03/03, 06/06/06. So as collector's items, they don't rate as highly as those once in a century calendaric events [I forget what it was, but it was good].
5/5/2005 5:20:57 PM I note that if I had posted this shortly before, I could have hit 5/5/2005 5:20:05
Oh well, sometimes opportunities are lost in life.
But the omens were good here in NZ because on 5/5/2005 [and I don't need to swap the month and day around for USA readers - in civilized countries, we put the day first, then month, then year. In the USA they illogically put the month first, mistakenly calling 119 911 for example, though 911 as an emergency has a better ring to it than 119, which although a prime number, is a bit nondescript] - okay, back to the beginning of the sentence at the top of this paragraph ... because on 5/5/2005, I had my best half of golf ever, finishing the first half in a tournament with 1 under par and 25 stableford points. Unfortunately, [and I know this is fascinating for you], a miscreant ball trickled out of bounds on the next hole and I had a psychological collapse for several holes.
