Yep. They're filling their coffers, Exxon has some $32 billion it doesn't know what to do with, and they got the US Middle Class Taxpayer to foot the bill for Iraqi oil development. $300 billion and counting in order to let Exxon make all the profits from Iraqi easy-access oil. Huge tax breaks for Hummers but little to none for hybrids. Why does the hard working middle class put up with this? Do they honestly buy the pablum that Horatio Alger is real and, if they just work a little harder, they'll get to the promised land? Pshaw, their government is working against them. The system is working against them. Unless the government and the system change, there is no relief for the vast majority of Americans. Soon it will take 3 incomes to support the typical suburban lifestyle.
