Thankfully the Shepherd goes away from the driveway in the winter. We get about 3 feet of snow, but I like everything flying 40 feet out of the blower to be white. Pug stuff doesn't count. <g>
George the Shepherd, yes a female George, walks way around the house. She starts a path after the first snow, and keeps it open throughout the winter, confining her duties to about a 15 foot area, same spot for 5 years now.
I've been dethatching the lawn for a couple of days, just finished today, saving gravy train hill for the end. Silent thanks were offered because it was dry. <g>
Back to the chit of politics, do you really expect anyone to pay more than they have to? That's uncanucky! I'm not defending him, but I suspect he is following existing law, as well as advice from his lawyers and accountants. You want to change it, change the law. Good luck.
Do you think Mulroney paid one penny more than he had to? Does Harper....do you? If he was to voluntarily do that, it would be much like someone offering to help pay for the costs to run the country, just to be nice. Do you know anyone so inclined? You've already gone on record of having a plan to have Canada pay your health costs while you are away. Only difference is in amount, but I don't think badly of you for following the law.
If he were to do that he would be stupid, worse than unsavory in my books, not worthy of any votes.
