So you are saying that one Republican former Senator was just as prejudiced as the current Democrat Senators are. If I were a DemoLib, it is not a discussion that I would want to perpetuate. Jesse Helms grew up in a different era in a different part of the country than you and I. Democrats have Robert KKK Byrd. What was Tom Daschle's problem with minorities and women? What is Harry Reid's problem with women and minorities? Do they really hate these groups that much? Interesting you mention Michigan, because the Circuit Court nominee for the first of the two open seats was slow rolled by Democrats until after they decided the Universities racial discrimination case.
