patrice, as i said in eariler post, i think there is accumulation going on in this stock....whether based on facts or takeover rumor, i am not sure.
i also wrote covered calls last month, but need much more caution as i am sitting on stock costing $28.....i agree with your caution of writing covered calls on this stock. if there is good news and the stock explodes, you can kiss your stock good-by as it just becomes too expensive to buy back. the option takes a while to open for trading when hit with news, usually waiting for the price to settle in.
my advise for whatever its worth is too keep an eye w/volume both with the stock and options. this stock has a reputation of moving prior to announcements.
as mentioned on previous post, i bought some feb10's. the premuim is reasonable and potential for upside seems greater than downside IMHO. six months/2 earning reports...possibility of takeover and introduction of new products in first quarter of 1998. if you believe the market will end the year higher with tech. leading the way then if not for anything else this stock should ride the the wave up and see a price between 12-15 at the very least . regards, john
