Hi John, the other day I was thinking about news when someone posted a comment along the lines of, what do you want just fluffy news items. Recently, just before I boarded a long flight, I decided to pick up a few light reading magazines and happened upon "Readers Digest". You know, I hadn't read Readers Digest in a long time and ended up reading every page. It was great, had multiple stories about every day heroism, about someone being rescued and a bunch of other interesting, yet uplifting events. Anyway, I began to wonder if a news station called Readers Digest News wouldn't be successful in a local market. I think it would if someone had the resources to really give it a good shot.

Frankly, I am sick to death of the negativity which pervades every news cycle, from radio to television it's always about the darkest side of American life, with very few corresponding bright spots.

No wonder foreigners think we have a sick society. All they hear about on CNN World or the BBC is what serial pedophile killed another girl, what murder happened, and what horrible shooting took place on the L.A. freeway.

Take Care John,

Mike
