REAL JOBS? Actual 274 k Expected 175k but wait... that number includes the 'birth/death' adjustment which - and I kid you not - is for April 2005 +257 k (April is always a good month for births/deaths, last year it was 224k but this April is the new record!!!!) So taking out the "adjustment" the real number of jobs is +17 K FOR THE MONTH OF APRIL 2005 Seems that allowances for the lies, damned lies and statistics isn't high on traders priorities.... reference for the birth/death stats, some rather unreliable source that calls itself ..... U.S. Department of Labor Bureau of Labor Statistics scroll to the bottom of the page... bls.gov reposted for amusement value only.. we know most of the numbers that come from that source are obviously unreliable..
