I appreciate your analysis of the underdog mentality. You realize (of course) that most of the suicide bombs do not target Americans.

I still believe it is a cowardly way to strive for POWER and CONTROL. Cowardice and bravery are not simply words. They refer to actual behaviors. And I think indiscriminate bombing of restaurants and the like where innocent people must necessarily be destroyed is cowardice in the extreme.

And it comes from a superstitious mentality where an afterlife is believed in and where there are good guys and bad guys based on which God they believe in. It is a poor reason for hating and killing people. It is a poor reason for killing Jews, it is a poor reason for killing Kurds--and it is a poor reason for killing anyone.
