I don't know what the heck you are talking about.

1. Europe is not a panacea for employment, nobody says it is. The difference between Europe and the US is that if you lose a job, you are not destitute. A key distinction since we have so many long term unemployeds here in the US.

2. "Unemployement rate" is useless as has been stated REPEATEDLY here and elsewhere. Quit printing that, I don't care that the unemployment rate is 5% or whatever BS it spews, the market doesn't care either, notice the only thing that matters to the market is NEW JOB GROWTH, the monthly figures as posted today.

3. Contractors are not relevant to new job growth. We had more contractors in the 90s than now, we didn't talk about them then, we need an apples to apples comparison, can this economy create jobs or not. We had a decent, not great but OK jobs report today FOR ONCE. (remember we created in excess of 350K jobs month after month in the 90s, even in the beginning of the 90s in the Clinton recovery. Never a jobs problem under Clinton).

4. The breakdown of blacks or other minorities vs. whites as unemployed probably stayed the same in the 90s vs now. Nobody is claiming otherwise.

5. The real issue with labor under Bush is that wage growth is stagnant or declining.

Bottom line- if we had a great economy we'd have a great STOCK MARKET. Not a grinding never ending bear.
