"More money has been lost chasing yields than at the point of a gun."

I personally know that all this year many financial advisers at bank branches has been placing many clients into GM bonds. I have a cab driver friend who sold his LA condominium and had to deal with $300,000 in cash. He called me after he was advised to buy GM bonds. He didn't believe me when I said GM would be BK, but still didn't buy the bonds. I placed him in a little GLD. Gold does have some allure. I guess I need to make him to buy some gold coins. Problem that Tulving doesn't sell less then 15 oz.
