Wow this volume is otherworldly. I glanced at Thermo's chart and could find nothing like this volume before. My reading of it is that something has to be going on but beats me what it is. I hope you're right that the next move will be up. I think it's pretty clear that with this volume something big is going to happen. No way the stock has volume like this and stays where it is. So hold on to your seats folks cause we're in for a ride IMHO.

Incidentally, Gary, I asked my cheap discount broker about shorting Thermo and they said they can't do it, because it's not on their list. Is this just because my broker doesn't do many shorts outside the well capitalized stocks, or is this found commonly with other brokers? And Gary I agree that if and when these shorts are finally squeezed the move up will be quite quick, though I still say Thermo can't get beyond 4 without first reporting some real earnings. Of course, I'd be thrilled to see 2 at this point.
