Could you post some details about the Hirsh book that you have been reading - it sounds interesting. Like you, I hate to be pesimistic but I think that problems in North Korea are going to arise very soon. North Korea is starving, El Nino is causing one of the worst droughts in Northern China and Korea in decades which is making a bad situation worse. The North Korean government has few choices left - let millions starve, dissolve and join the South or go to war. I have a friend in the Navy that told me that we are preparing for option three. He thinks that this issue will resolve itself sooner rather than later.
