California Energy Commission will give a rebate of cost or $2.80 per watt (up to 30 kW) upon installation of your utility interface system. A licensed California Contractor must do the installation for the CEC to rebate $2.80 per watt, otherwise the rebate is $2.32 per watt. Advance Power's crews work under our C-46(solar) and C-10(electrical) licenses.

The Energy commission has also approved utility interface/backup system rebates. Same as above - $2.80 per watt.

Federal Business Investment Tax Tips
for Renewable Energy Equipment
Plus California Energy Rebate Programs

The Federal Government has provided a permanent 10% Business Energy Tax Credit if you purchase Renewable Energy Equipment (Solar Electric, Solar Thermal, Wind Power) Systems.
California has a 7.5% income tax credit for residential and commercial applications. CEC rebates are $2.80 per watt up to 30kW. Public utilities like PG&E and Southern California Edison have rebates of $3.50 per watt for systems larger than 30kW.

Under the current law you are allowed to depreciate fully the cost of this system and subtract it from your Taxable Income for five years. Check with your accountant.

According to a California energy commission survey the average utility interface system is around $10.00 @ watt. A utility backup system is around $20.00 @ watt. As you can see our prices are substantially less.

Energy rebate programs outside California differ from state to state and federal programs are under consideration as well. Please contact us or your local commission at dsireusa.org re:rebates.
