"...Dems are in a no-win situation in terms of getting a majority near term. Their best bet, I think, is for the Reps to overreach." This is what is wrong with the Democratic party and it is right there in your own thoughts. This country would be better served by the Democrats if every thought wasn't about winning or losing and instead was about what they believed needed to be done (core beliefs! actual real ideas!) and why. Are they really as void of ideas as it appears? ...or are they afraid that their own ideas are so bad that they dare not be communicated? The Democrats need to stop thinking in terms of their own power grab and return to thinking about and communicating actual ideas.
