Sounds like this is probably something fairly simple. Are you getting IP addresses using DHCP from the DLink? It's possible that somehow two machines are getting the same address.

Seems that a bit of troubleshooting might be in order, before just reverting to Panther.

And by the way, new OS releases often have some bugs, which are generally not resolved within a week. 10.4.1 will probably come out in a few weeks. That's why many people wait a bit before installing a newly released operating system. I'm not saying you did something wrong to install Tiger right away. I'm just saying that one can't expect a new OS to be 100% perfect.

FYI, I've put it on only two systems, and both are fine. I'm glad I don't have a third, because apparently that where the trouble starts. ;-)
