I am talking about the nasdaq as a whole when I say "naz".

According to the historical page on the nasdaq site, there were in excess of 3200 companies listed in 1982. No way to tell if it is early 82 or december 82, but no matter. I also can't post a link because its javascript. Go look it up yourself.

During the nineties this total OF LISTED COMPANIES swelled to over double 1982 levels. By 2002 we were back down to 1982 levels. A total rout in only a few years.

This is commonly understood, all over the press, and why you don't "get it" and can't decipher what is meant by "naz" is beyond me.

Trying to defend Bush's dismal financial record still?

BTW this january period in stocks was the worst since 1982 also.
