The FCC opinion is that in a country where *multiple* points of view are available to the public, for them to freely choose from to view... that LESS government involvement is appropriate.

I agree with that opinion.

Narrow-Casting is a *good thing*, and I'm all for a wide variety of views and opinions to be expressed all over the place. It's far better then a homogenious and bland choice of just a few mirror-image outlets.

"You keep listing poll results but never link the poll...."

That's because the Republican-commissioned poll (two, really, they ran the polling *twice*) was a PRIVATE POLL and they never released it to the public (some say: 'quashed' it because they didn't like the results....)

This was made clear in my first posting about the polls.

Never-the-less, the PBS CEO has not denied any of the leaked results (in fact, I heard him on a radio interview on Saturday where he confirmed the broad results that had been reported).
