The rightwing is intensely jealous of Kerry, JFK, FDR, Clinton etc. If they can't beat them fairly, they smear them and try to destroy them and their memories.

Very clear the rightwing has also been trying to rewrite history, such as making social security a negative, blaming JFK for the Vietnam war, then promoting the Vietnam War as a noble cause, and branding anyone who got wise in the 60's or 70's as a degenerate traitor.

Also trying to give Reagan full credit for ending the Cold War when plenty of credit should be given to Gorby, religion, the Afghan war failure (hey Osama can take credit there) and even hippies, pot-smoking and rock n' roll. After all, Soviet kids wanted peace, love and rock n' roll too.
