Grainne doesn't teach, so it isn't really her business to think it out- as she says repeatedly, she has other priorities and interests- and most advocates for a cause would like to be in the public schools, because reaching the young is easy compared to reaching adults. Not that being in the business makes all people think- if it did there wouldn't be people trying to push religious agendas in schools. Schools should be neutral places that bring people together. That's why I oppose all attempts to let parents "choose" segmented little communities for their children, because I think our society is segmented enough already, and we should do much more to uncover what we have in common, and discourage polarization as much as possible, in as many ways as possible. Destroying the public school system in this country would lead to (I think) unimaginable polarization- and I think people who advocate "choice" have not thought THAT out very well (or if they have, they want a fractured and fragmented America, much different from my vision for this country).
