MC, I am not like most people, so your thoughts are headed in the wrong direction. Every dollar I was able to invest, was put into a fund that I intentionally made difficult to raid, because I was aware of my weakness and took steps counteract it. Just because a person is a drunk, doesn't mean he is stupid.

I scoff at so called addictions, except for those that cause one to completely lose his mind, and impair the mental processes of a human being. To call alcoholism a disease is a cop out as far as I am concerned, and has been considered as a disease so that the doctors can collect from medicare for treatment of it.When a drunk either removes himself from the environment that makes him want to drink booze, or hits his own personal bottom, any addiction can be stopped, and that person's life style can be changed for the better.

I'm not talking about "will power" as some say is the answer, because if you want to see will power in action, try to keep a drunk from getting a drink. Then you will see the ultimate in will power.
