Excellent post.."There are fanatics in all religions,it is not fair to judge the majority based on a minority fanatic group." I agree...

There is new movie being released(the name escapes me) that deals with the Crusades and the on going battle between Christians and Muslims... It will be an epic.

However, the interesting points that I got from seeing the review is that the battle has been going on for centuries...

Saladin is the leader of the Muslims. He is quite a leader in the he has dignity and courage. He also is always willing to have dialogs.. and not just charge into conflicts. He sounds like a wonderful person.

The Christians in the name of the Crusades attacked Jerusalem and slew all the the Muslims there, showing no mercy.

When the Muslims regained the city they did not kill all the Christians.. they used them to barter.. a kind gesture not granted the Muslims when the Christians captured the city.

The battles that were fought have been to regain possession of that city prized by the Jews,Muslims and Christians. The interesting thing if that today the church of the Holy Sepulcher, the Muslim Mosque and the Jewish temple are but a stones throw from one another all all these religions mix...

No one owns Jerusalem. It belongs to all.
