Fresc is in Manitoba, no wonder he doesn't understand the machinations of Health mismanagement in Ontario....
Harris decided to reduce the costs of Healthcare 10% so he told the administrators to cut costs. The administrators hired some more clerics and cut the staff by 10%. They cut the kitchen staff, now we get commercially prepared food. they cut the cleaning staff, and they cut the Nurses. I assume the cuts must have been about 15% because we had more administration and less actual doing work type workers. So now we have more paperwork and paper workers and fewer actual staff taking care of the product.... OTOH we have more people being sick longer because of the diseases they catch while being treated in the hospital. The emergency room where I shop, and particularly the waiting rooms are awful, dark dirty and windowless but the offices they are making for the day staff are really really beautiful bright airy cheerful..... oh yeah the new offices were the waiting rooms before the waiting rooms were moved to storage.....
