I can see that after retirement a former player should be allowed to take any legitimate job that he feels comfortable in. But with today's salaries and reasonable money/investment management by a pro, there shouldn't be any reason to get a "job" other than ego. There's always TV and movies for ego gratification, even commercials and game shows.
