Parents use alcohol and their children notice. Parents smoke and their children notice. It's the same thing, imo with pot (and alcohol is just as destructive to their little brains, maybe more so.) Responsible adults should model responsible use of alcohol, imo (unfortunately with all the binge drinkers and alcoholics this is not the case). It isn't very responsible to use pot right now because it is not legal, but it is stupid that it is not legal (imo), because it is no more harmful than alcohol, and possibly less so (and shown to be so by the government's own studies). If parents used it responsibly, and it was legal, I would think it was probably a better choice than alcohol. I don't think children should be drinking or smoking pot (or taking any other recreational drugs). I simply hate the waste of the criminalization of pot- I hate the fact that pot smokers and dealers are in jail; I hate the fact that a huge portion of our population is engaging in criminal activity, thus cultivating a general disrespect for law and order - look at the movies and TV where everyone lights up all the time; and I hate the intrusive hand of the government in the regulation of "sin".
