It's not a big issue with me, but if you insist:
Hypocrites are hypocrites, and should be shunned.
I think some people come by their homosexual proclivities naturally and can be no other way. Some people choose it consciously, for whatever reason. And some people are conned into it by the unscrupulous.
I've known but few homosexuals and all were females. They were as nice as anyone could ask for and I hold nothing against them. If I know a homosexual but don't know that he is, it's fine with me if he keeps it that way. I don't want to be dealing with it every day by his coming out of the closet, or whatever they call it. It's none of my business.
Hypocrites are the worst by far, although I can understand why a timid person could hide his nature to avoid persecution. I don't believe any person should be persecuted for any reason. All, however, are accountable to themselves, society, and whatever higher power they acknowledge for the effects of their behavior.
I don't like any person who hides his true nature to advance his drive for power. Coy admissions such as those made by Bill Clinton do not absolve anyone.
The one attribute of Osama bin Laden, Saddam Hussein, and others like them that sets them apart is their lack of hypocrisy. That is insufficient grounds for letting them off the hook, however.
If ever I have hurt a person by unkind remarks, I apologize and beg forgiveness. I'm sure I have done this at least once, and I regret it. |
