The Grand Dragon of the Ku Klux Klan? I'm sorry, I don't see how that relates to compassionate liberals. I was thinking more about fair tax structures and good public education and fully funding Head Start and making sure no children came to school hungry (instead of declaring ketchup a vegetable for school lunch program purposes, which Reagan did). And believing that homosexuals are entitled to basic human and civil rights. Those things seem to align more with liberals than conservatives, usually, and to me they seem compassionate.
