I'm amazed that all the Republicans who were howling about reducing the size of government during the Reagan, Bush 41 and Clinton terms have now miraculously come around to supporting massive spending on war and domestic terrorization, aka "Homeland Security" resulting in gargantuan debt. I believe if you consider recent history, conservatives demonstrate a herd mentality beyond anything I ever could have imagined. In 2000, conservatives wouldn't spend a dime for nation building. Now they want to reshape the world with monumental debt. Big government, trade deficits, budget deficits, strong dollar, free trade, states rights...they've flipped 180 degrees and can't remember that they've flipped. jttmab
