I beg to disagree. The CIA did all possible to undermine the French rule in Algeria for the Pertoleum. FLN was assisted indirectly by the United States. On Iraq and Afghnastan issue I can agree with you they are part of the same over-all plan. Iran squeezed and Syria isolated.The Bolshoi Igrà is being replayed all over again. This time the issue not control of the Northwest Frontiers, it is control of oil, and subjugating the only two regimes that could be cause trouble. Last but not least, the object is to ensure that from Bab-el-Mandab to Kirkuk Arab natinalism comes under control of friendly regimes. Gus, this is one of the biggest games ever played, and issue is the full control of flow Oil on regional basis and not Iraqi oil alone. Don't forget that the Gas line is being build from Turkmanstan that will cut through Afghanstan low lands and Blauchestan in Pakinstan to the Arbaian Sea. This in turn will bontact with the Kazakh oil and gas in Kashagan, Atyrau, Aktay, and Bautino. I am to tired to go on, but the result in cleat,deprive Russian from any possiblity to put their hands on the natural resources. A man like you surely udnerstands.
