So their answer, and yours, is to overturn the Senate Filibuster that has stood for over 200 years? This after they have imposed noxious restrictions on civil liberties via the Patriot Act?

Where will they stop next?

Here's what others are saying - and Repubs such as McCain that are not lunatics are coming out against the nuclear option:

In any case, conservatives are now trying to turn back two hundred years of history. They want to end the ability of thoughtful senators to block the appointments of the most extreme, partisan nominees to lifetime tenure as federal judges -- including to the Supreme Court. These positions are so important to the Republic that for two centuries the Senate has approved people they could agree on -- rather than putting radical zealots on the bench. This has worked for two centuries; yet, now the group in power wants to change the rules to ram through anybody they want.

But the good news is that Sen. John McCain (R-AZ) has already said he will oppose this scheme, while many moderate senators are still on the fence -- weighing the public opinion of their constituents.
