I think the name change was primarily to improve the marketability of the concept. Is Intelligent Design that much different from Creationism? And what is the point of debating it? It is something that is inherently unprovable. If true, it also has no predictive value and hence is totally useless as a scientific principle. Debating it gives it the air of legitimate science, which it isn't. The decision is going to be made on the basis of politics and not have anything to do with scientific principles. I guess you are right. However, I worry that without any rebuttal, it becomes a slam dunk for those who deny the theory of evolution. Having said that, the loyal opposition has made a good point.........Kansas may not be as desirable for industrial relocations and hi tech research if corps. perceive its schools are not as advanced as others in the country. Hit them in their wallets........that can be the best approach. ted
