well, if you google "stagflation" right now you get a whole bunch of very recent hits. Most say "this isn't the 70s", meaning, that stagflation as a term is identified mostly with the 70s and that was very severe stagflation, which we obviously don't have now. But there are plenty of people saying "this isn't 70s style stagflation", while not dismissing stagflation totally- like this guy. "Stagflation is rearing its ugly head," warned Peter Morici, a professor at the University of Maryland's Robert H.
