The CIA estimates that China will approach the US's GNP by then... of course, their per capita will be much lower though.

But that has little to do with the point I made about their Demographic Problem: all those 'one child families' chose to have male children, resulting in a gross shortage of females... and a demographic time bomb down the road for them, when they will have much higher percentages of retirees then we will.
