I'm sure you're even more concerned about the massive increase in the National Debt - close to $650 Billion over the last 12 months.

That is more than the projected shortfall of SS for the entire decade of the 2020's! Wow!

What should we fix first? Something that is hemorrhaging
now, or a potential problem starting in 20 years (or 13 years by your way of looking at the problem).

If I had an executive that said fix the future problem first, I'd fire them. In business you always fix the larger, more immediate problem first.

If you are serious about fiscal issues (and it seems like you are) I suggest advocating dropping the SS debate until the General Fund deficit is fixed. I'm surprised EVERYONE doesn't agree with this approach - especially fiscally prudent Republicans (like me).
