TOM DELAY'S TRAVELS

For what seems like an eternity now, we have heard from the mainstream media about how Tom DeLay accepted travel and accommodations from lobbyists in Washington, DC. Sounds a little crooked, doesn't it? Not exactly the type of corruption we want in our politicians. This has been used to portray House Majority Leader Tom DeLay in the press as a scumbag.

But then it was revealed that Tom DeLay wasn't the only one that accepted such trips. It turns out that it's basically standard operating procedure for members of Congress to rake in the goodies from Washington lobbyists. After all, they can't possibly be expected to pay for anything themselves! So with that in mind, we have a list of members who travel on congressional junkets the most:

- Rep. Maxine Waters and Senator John Breaux, both Democrats.
- Rep. Harold Ford, Democrat
- Rep. Stephanie Tubbs Jones, Democrat
- Rep. Barney Frank, Democrat

The list goes on and on...and at the top, is mostly Democrats. In fact, you have to go all the way down to 121st place to find Tom DeLay. Facts the media conveniently ignores. It's all part of the template...facts that exonerate Republicans don't get a lot of play in the media.
