That article was somewhat informative. What I got from it was that, it is normal for policy makers and intelligence officials to clash on what should be presented to the public.

Armatage's office endorses Bolton and his speeches (ditto Wilkers, Hutchings); where as, there is a personality conflict between the men, who have no problem voicing their opinions. That seems like a healthy political relationship to me. I would be more concerned if the intelligence people and the policy people were all lovey dovey. Imagine if the folks on SouixPal's thread were running the government. My God!!! we would end up handing over our nation to who ever wants it within a year ...
